Zheng He – was a Chinese mariner and pirate, who undertook expeditions to south and southeast Asia and coasts of east Africa. He was a dread for other pirates, whom he killed or sent to China for execution if captured. During his lifetime he organized seven major naval expeditions which made him famous throughout the world.

Sayyida al Hurra – was a pirate queen of Tétouan and one of the most prominent figures of modern age Islamic world. Alongside captain Barbarossa of Algiers she ruled the Mediteranean Sea, where she sunk and pilaged trading vessels. Later she married Ahmed the King of Morocco and lived with him for nearly 30 years.
